A
JUST A FEW OF THE GIFT ITEMS
AVAILABLE AT CUSTOM CERAMICS
Jymie, who became
interested in this
type of work from
friends in Georgia
last year, has a kiln
in her garage. She
and Juanita, who has
been involved in cer-
amics for the past
three years, pour th-
eir own molds, purch-
ase greenware from
other dealers and
will also fire items
for individuals.
They are planning
to conduct some clas-
ses, beginning in la-
te May. The plans are
for the classes to
meet three times a
week: twice at night
and once during the
daytime. The class
will last for six
weeks and will be di-
vided into three pa-
rts. One section will
be devoted to staini-
ng greenware; a seco-
nd section will be
about underglazing
and the final portion
will deal with glazi-
ng.
They will also demo-
nstrate different
techniques.
Other plans involve
a Christmas in July
sale which will feat-
ure many items for
the holidays.
The items which they
have for sale have
all been fired at le-
east once. Some item-
s, especially those
which will be eaten
from, have been fired
two and three times.
At any rate, if you
are looking for a gr-
eat gift idea...run
on down and see Jymie
and Juanita at 110
Daniels Drive.
