woman was arrested yesterday by Officer
Whittington on the charge of theft and
wua locked up In the police station. It
was alleged that she has been carrying
on a systematic scheme of theft for th
past several days. The real estat office
of Morrow on Main street was robbed
his spectacles and number of trinkets
taken from his desk. Berleth the printer
on Texas avenue also aufiered. many
trinkets being taken from his office. Dr.
Turner wss also a victim. The woman
wore a sun bonnet and gained entrance
Into the office In ths guise of beggar.

PROGRESSIVE PEANUT. In an In-
formal way Mr. and Mrs. J. M Mathes
entertained a number of their friends at
the fascinating game of progressive pea-
nut Tuesday evening. The parlors still
