come visitor. They were alone in the
sitting room most or Monday evening
and it was shortly after midnight that
the girl staggered into her mother'a

her young Brands entered in a similar

at Yoakum proved a general treat with
the usual observance. The municipal

the American Legion post was moved'

of song and story curried out. Hundreds
of children marched past the committee i golden chrysanthemums and jonquils were
tieth anniversary at their home Friday.
Mr. Rogers has lived in Williamson coun
ty all his life having been born the year I
it was originated while Mrs. Kogers has
resided in Williamson county no years.
In the 60 years of their married life there
have been only two deaths a son-in-law
and a grandchild. They have nine chil
dren all of them married and six of
them present for the celebration namely

Mrs. C. M. Oliver. Mrs. Horace Warden
of Parsons Kan. and M. K. Rogers of I
Smithville. Three grandchildren were
present also namely. James and John
Landrum and Anita Warden of Parsons
Kan.
The home was beautifully decorated In
the Christmas colors of red and green
with ferns and poinpettias artistically
arranged while the dining room was
beautiful in gold and white. Large

mas day the legion committee carried
baskets of goodies clothing and food to
