dress on the relation of advertising to
business going into detail on the eco-
nomic factors of production and distri-
bution. It H. Spencer spoke of the Trade Ex-
pansion movement being carried on by
the Chamber of Commerce and urged
the indorsement and active support of
the Advertising association requesting
that a committee he appointed to serve
in an advisory capacity in the making of
plans and the placiow of advertising. H.
W. Allen advertising manacer of Tbe
kUoutton Pqai spoke in indorsement of
toe movement land urged that a commit-
tee be immediately appointed with the
indorsement of the "association which
wa unanimously passed. A committee
will.be named later.
Stresses Opaa Doar Policy.
D. U. Carroll new manager of the tel-
ephone company made a short talk. He
stressed the value of personal relation
with customers and stated he would be-
come acquainted with as many of the sub-
scribers as possible. An open door pol-
ice will be maintained by the companx. he
added from the manager down. Speak-
ing of the employes of the company he
stated there were over 1000 and that
be soon honed tn'find them all hanov ami

be put in the first rank of cities which
