'24 among 23 universities and colleges.
A few weeks ago the La Verne Noyes
trustses mads public the allotment of
100 scholarships to Northwestern uni-
versity and 40 to Lewis Institute of

nations just made the total awarded
scholarships of ths Noyes trustees for
the coming college rear will bs 400.

WALKS LIKE MAN

WASHINGTON Feb. . A motor
truck that "walks like a man" has
been invented by a Qsrman for use
In mountainous regions according to
a report received today by the com-
merce department. This truck says
the report has a chassis set ovsr two
pairs of foot-like runners which
move alternately. It has hauled a
load of six to eight tons from five to
six miles an hour over rough roads.
Ths truck is equipped with a 2S -horsepower
engine.
