NORMAL STUDENTS
AND ALUMNI TO GO IN
BODY TO EVANS FIELD
Pep Rally to Be Held In Main Audi-
torium In Early Afternoon; Nor-
mal Rooters, to Sit On North
Side of Field.
At 2:15 o’clock on Thanksgiving af-
ternoon every Normal student is ex-
pected to meet with all the visiting stu-
dents in the auditorium of the Admin-
istration Building where a pep rally
and get-together meeting will be held.
Enough yelling will be done to famil-
iarize the old students with this year’s
yells, and short pep speeches will be
made by several of the visitors.
There will be seats for all on the
north side of Evans Field. These seats
are being reserved for Normal students
and the Normal Alumni, so no student
need go early in order to avoid the
rush. If he does he will be surprised
at the gate by being refused admit-
tance. No person showing a blanket
tax receipt for admittance will be per-
mitted to enter Evans Field until the
rooters from the auditorium come. And
every 'Normal student must show his or
her blanket tax receipt if they expect
to get inside the gates without paying
the stipulated admittance charge. It is
impossible for the gate keepers to know
everybody, so in order to avoid embar-
rassment for both them and you, bring
your blanket tax receipt or you will
not be allowed to enter with the Nor-
mal students.
On the bleachers on the north side, a
section will be reserved for the Alumni,
and the rest of the seats forXhe pre-
sent student body. The Alumni rooting
section will be led by Dick Hays, last
year’s yell leader, while the present'
student body will be led by our able
leader, Roland Perry and his assis-
tants. The yelling has been exception-
ally good this year, and with the Alum-
ni to help at the game Thursday, a
rooting demonstration should be ef-
fected that is without precedent in Nor-
mal’s history.
CART. PETE SHANDS, full-
back, whose steady leadership,
coupled with his sensational
playing has had a large part to
do with the Bobcats’ brilliant
record this season.

The Feature of the Homecoming Festivities will be the
Football Game on Evans Field Thanksgiving Day, between
the Bobcats of S. W. T. N. C., and their North Texas rivals
from Denton Normal. It has been said by up-to-date foot-
ball enthusiasts that the Denton Normal team is the strong-
est in that section of the State, and claims that no Normal
College team has ever beaten her, add that none ever will.
Can she continue to make this boast? The game Thursday
will decide that important question. The Bobcats aire
stronger this fall than ever in their previous history, hav-
ing gone through the entire season without a single defeat,
while the Denton team has suffered two defeats, firilt
by Simmons College in the early part of the season, and the
second by John Tarleton A. & M. a little later. However,
since that time the North Texas team has been gaining
strength, and now have an almost impregnable line up. They
claim that they are in better shape for the Thanksgiving
game than they have ever been before. The Bobcats will
have a slight advantage, in that they will be playing on their
home grounds.
Seats on the north side of the field are reserved for Nor-
mal Students and Alumni. The student body, with the
Alumni, will meet in the Auditorium of the Administration
Building promptly at 2:15 p. m. on Thanksgiving Day, for
familiarizing the old students and visiting rooters with the
present manner of conducting the yells. At 3:00 p. m.
sharp, the S. W. T. N. rooters will go in a body to the game.
If you ate a square meal would the
corners curb?

FEMIGRAMS
COACH O. W. STRAHAN,
the man that is responsible for
the Bobcats’ perfect record on
the gridiron this season, and
the man that has put the Bob-
cats on the map in Texas col-
lege athletics.
(By Bee V. Dee)
A modern high school Miss could
make Cleopatria look like a modest
country lass when it comes to vamping.
What is the oldest make of talk-
ing machine? Woman.
The ruffle off one of mother’s girl-
hood dresses would make a skirt of
generous length for her modern
daughter.
Some Elizabethina bard has sung of
the “shapely foot and well-turned
ankle”, but it remains for the present
da ysongster to eulogize the “Shapely
calf and dimpled knee.”
Wonder what Adam and Eve did
when the early frost killed th/ fig
leaves?
Guess Shakespeare never wore the
print of a flat iron on his jaw or he
wouldn’t have called woman the
“weaker vessel”.
Men beware! Monday night on
“Chicken Avenue’", erstwhile Austin
street, a thirteen and a half collar
sized biped was rescued from a group
of husky Amazons. The disturbance
was over the possession of the in-
dividual.
HOW TIMES DO CHANGE
A hundred years ago today,
A wilderness was here;
A man with"powder in his gun
Went forth to hunt a deer.
But now times have changed somewhat,
Along a different plan:
A dear with powder on her nose
Goes forth to hunt a man.
CAPT. BUCK GOODE, full-
back of the Denton team, is one
of the principal reasons why
Denton is figuring on winning
the Thanksgiving game. Capt.
Goode is a veteran on the Den-
ton team and his record shows
that he has been a consistent
star from the beginning.

second year at Denton and this

Denton. He is a Baylor man
