never achieve any marked degree of
success without work. Of all the great
pieces of work, of all the great achieve-
ments, of all the outstanding accom-
plishments that history tells us anything
about, there is not one back of which
there is not or was not real honest hu-
man toil and work. Work is the finest,

which Mr. Birdwell is held by the stu-
dents and teachers of the Southwest
