The annual Kutach Family reunion
will be held on Sunday, Sept. 5th, 1965,
at Blase Konvicka’s Plače, on Highway
90-A, 4y2 miles west of Hallettsville.
Bring a box full of eats. — Committee.

Mikeska Family Reunion
This yeaťs Mikeska Family reunion
will be held at SPJST Seaton Star Halí
on Sept. 12, 1965, beginning at 10 a.m.
The halí is located about 7 miles east
of Temple on Hwy. 53. Elveryone bring
a basket lunch. The committee will fur-
nish plates, euips, soft drinks, etc.

Mrs. Siophie Vítek, 74, passed away in
a I-Iillsboro hospital on Aug. 16th. In-
terment was in the Granger City
Cemetery. Sister Vitek was a mernber
of SPJST Lodge No. 154, Fort Worth.

The Teen Club of Cottonwood Lodge
6 recently visitěd Síx Flags, one group
having gone on Aug. llth and the
other on Aug. 15tih.

The youth of SPJST Lodges Nos. 25,
135, and 82, all of Ennis, 154 of Fort
Worth, 130 of Dallas, took a bus tour
to Ausťin, Sían Antonio, and New
Brauni eis. The group in two buses
stopped in West last Wednesday, Aug.
18th. The two pictures of these groups
will appear in the Vestnik next week.

The Catholic Chorál Society of
Houston is scheduled to perform in a
speciál chorál eoncert at the Music
Halí in Houston, Sunday, Aug. 29th, at
2:30 p.m. Of the 100 members of the
choir about 2,5 ar© members of the
SPJST, including Permanent Chair-
man and Founder sister Birdie Hilsher
and President Lynn Kulhánek.

Twenty-six members of Lodge . 66
Youth Club and their lodge leader,
Libble Parma, had a swimming party
and outing at the West Swimming
Pool on Aug. 19th. The youth elub also
plans to see “Holiday On Ice” on Sept.
9th. Several chaperones were also pres-
ent at the swimming party.

The youth of District IV, under the
leadership of Sister Mary Haisler and
other chaperones, took a trip to Six
Flags on Aug. 21st.

J. R. Vlit, 82, passed aWay in St.
Joseplťs Hospital in Houston on July
30th. Interment was in the WOW Cem-
etery In Rosenberg. Brother Vilt was
a mernber of SPJST Lodge No. 81,
Needville.
Walter J. Palbách, 70, passed away in
the V A Adm. Center in Temple on Aug.
4th. Burial was in the Shook Ceme-
tery in Snook. Brother Rubach was a
mernber of SPJST Lodge No. 9 in
Snook.

Stephen Bacak, 74, passed away in
Johns Hospital in Taylor on Aug. lOth.
Brother Bacak was a mernber of SPJST
Lodge No. 29, Taylor.

Providenee Hospital in Waco an Aug.
lOth. Interment was in the Mart Cem-
etery in Mart. Brother Picha was a
mernber of SPJST Lodge No. 128, Mart.

Mrs. Milton Martinec of Ennis, her
mother, Mrs. C. J. Honza, and Mrs.
Martinech six children, Linda, Milton
Jr., Doreen, Peggy, Dennis, and Nancy,
visited the print shop in West last Fri-
day, Aug. 20th. It was our privilege to
show the group through the print shop.
All are members of SPJST Lodge No.
25, Ennis. Mrs. Martinech husband,
Milton is manager of the SPJST halí in
Ennis.

CZECHOSLOVÁK DAY
CELERRATIONS IN TEXAS
The first “Czechoslovak Spectacular”
will be held at the lodge halí and on
the property of SPJST Lodge No. 66,
in Elm Mott, between Waco and West,
just off IH 35. (Také the Elm Mott
exit, go one-half mile east). The dáte
is Sunday, September 19th. The after-
noon program will include a fine
Czech orchestra in eoncert, a Sokol
gymnastie exhibition by juniors and
adults from the Southern District, a
team of dancers dancing the Czecho-
slovak National Beseda, a promenád©
and individúal presentation of authen-
tic Czechoslovak costumes, with prizes
given, a promenádě and presentation
of loeal colorful costumes, an exhibi-
tion of Czech dolls dressed in authen-
tic costumes from the various regions
of Czechoslovakia, chorál groups sing-
ing CZech songs, exhibition and sále of
Czech sausages from around the statě,
delicious food all day long, plenty of
cold refreshments of all kinds, dis-
play and sále of Czech phonograph rec-
ords, big dance in the evening (6 to
9:30), with music bv Johnny Sebetka’s
Polka Peppermints for Dallas, one of
the fine Czech bands in Texas. Plenty
of parking space near the halí. Plenty
of shade. All attractions easily acces-
sible. All people of Czechoslovak ex~
traction and their friends from every-
where are cordially invited to come and
meet their friends on this great oc-
casion.

This yeaťs Czech-American Festival
at the State Fair of Texas, Dallas, will
be held on the first Sunday of the
Fair, Sunday, October lOth. This festiv-
al promises to be bigger and better
than ever.

OUR TIIANKS
The family of Sobert Duron, Sr., of
Dallas, would like to thank their many
friends and relatives who remembered
Mrs. Hattie Duron, his beloved wife,
and mother, at the time of her death
on Aug. 4th and burial on Aug. 6th.
We shall nevěr forget the flowers, food,
Mass offerings, memorials to the
SPJST Rest Home, and sympathy cards.
These were all such a comfort to us
in our time of grief.

PAVELKA REUNION
The Pavelka Reunion will be held as
usual, on Sunday, Sept. 5, 1965 (Labor
Day weekend), at the Robstown Com-
munity Halí. For the past eight years
the reunion was held at the SPJST
Halí in Eik, but this year it will be
held in Robstown. All the Pavelka
descendants are invited to come and
spend the day and attend the dance at
night. A basket lunch will be served
,in the usual way and coffec and tea
will bc provided by reunion managers,
as well as plates, cups, and napkins.
Please contact Anton Pavelka of
Routě 3, Mart, Texas, as to how many
will attend from the Wcst-Waco area
so fcocl preparations can be planned
accordingly at Robstown.
There will be a PUBLIC clance that
night at the Robstown Community
Halí, and we are looking forward to
seeing all the members of Robstown
Lodge No. 117 at our dance. Come out
and enjoy dancing with old friends.
