Notes

This photograph more than likely captures some of the Mormon refugees that fled the Mormon colonies located in Chihuahua Mexico in late July of 1912. The lumber sheds in the photo bear a striking resemblance to the lumber sheds used to house hundreds of Mormon refugees in the lumber yard of the Long Lumber Company in El Paso, Texas in the same time period. Although a specific location has yet to be identified for the photo, there is the strong possibility that these refugees were among the hundreds of Mormons who sought refuge in El Paso.
