During the course of developing a financial model for the
Edgewood Independent School District, numerous contacts were
made with personnel associated with educational and governmental
activities. Our work was materially assisted by the interest,
experience and unstinting cooperation of the personnel with whom
we talked and visited.
In particular, we wish to thank Dr. Jose A. Cardenas and
his administrative staff for their assistance in establishing a baseline
of information on which the model was constructed. We wish to also
acknowledge the initial guidance provided by Mr. Leon R. Graham
and the valuable assistance of Mr. P. E. Hutchinson in directing us
to the proper information sources at the Texas Education Agency.
The development of this model has been significantly aided by Mr.
Claude C. McCraven, Model Cities Department, City of San Antonio,
under whose capable management the work has been performed.
Finally, we are indebted to Dr. William E. Barron for his overall
contributions to the basic concepts on which the foundation of this
model was built.
Here’s what’s next.
