Mary Beth Prince Becomes Bride
of Hamel Sanders Saturday
Of interest to the many friends
of the couple, is the marriage of
Miss Mary Beth Prince and Ha-
mel Sanders, both graduates of
the Howie High School, which
took place Saturday evening, Feb-
ruary 8, in the Presbyterian
Manse in Austin with the pastor,
Rev. F. Ix>ng, reading, the im
pressive wedding ceremony.
A small group of friends and
■relatives of the couple witnessed
tiui ceremony. These included
mother of each, Mrs. Nellie Prince
of Austin und Mrs. Roy D. San-
ders of Howie, also a brother of
the groom, Dean Sanders and
Miss Jean Sanders both of NTS
TC at Denton, Mrs. L. I,. Waid
and Miss Dixie I.ee Waid of Fort
Worth and Warren Ryan ol' Aus-
tin.
The bride wore a dusty pink
frock with blue accessories and
wore a shoulder corsage of pink
rosebuds and blue delphinium.
Her something old was a string
of crystal heads. She graduated
from Bowie High School in the
class of ’.'!!) and is an employee
o fthe Bell Telephone Co. in Aus-
tin. She is tiie daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. 'I'. C. Prince.
The groom is the son of Mr.
and -Mrs. Roy I). Sanders of
Bowie. He graduated in the class
of ’37 and was a member of the
Howie Jackrabbit squad. He is
employed with the Paulissen Bak-
ing Firm of Austin.
The couple are at home at 305
E. 8th Street in Austin, where a
wedding supper was served fol-
lowing the ceremony.

dining table, which was covered
with a lace cloth over pink. Mint,
which is also a native plant of
Louisiana, added color to the
table decorations.
Punch was served by the host-
esses to sixty members and
guests.

County left Tuesday for one
year’s military service under the
selective service law, being the
quota for the county on the first
cull during February. A second
call has been made and 11 men
ptfill leave on February 25, accord-
ing to Frank Moss, secretary of
the county board.

rotary, .City Recorder, and City Attorney ; and
naming a manager ol said election and designat-

OF THE CITY OF HOWIE:
That an Election is hereby ordered to be
held on the First I uesdfl.v in April, 1911, the
same being the first day- of April, 1911, tor tho
purpose of electing a Mayor, an Alderman from
the First Ward, an Alderman from the Second
Ward, an Alderman from the Third Ward, a
City Marshal; a City Secretary, a City Recorder,
and a City Attorney for the City of Bowie, Texas
That said Election shall be held in the base-
ment of the City Auditorium, and D. M. Major
is hereby named as manager of said election
with authority to employ such additional judges
and clerks as may be necessary.
That the publication of a copy of this order
shall be sufficient notice of said election.
