A RUNAWAY HORSE, NARROW I
ESCAPE FROM DEATH.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Burgess and !
little child had a very narrow
escape from death by a runaway
horse ^ie other night. While
turning the corner of Sixth and
Green avenue the horse took
fright at some passing object
and started at a terrific gait up
the street. The wheels of the
buggy striick the curbing in
front of the Green avenue Bap-
tist church upsetting, the ve-
hicle. Just at this time Mr. L.

were entertained at a donkey
party given at the home of Miss
Alma Bunn last night. The
first prize was awarded to Eula
Ortmeyer for pinning the tail of
the donkey closest to where it
belonged. The booby prize

er refreshments were served and
the little folks left for their
homes thoroughly satisfied with

F Mendelsohn, who conducts a

left for New Orleans where he will
undergo treatment at the Tuoro Hos
pital.
H J Ortmeyer tells us that owing to
the delay in getting possession of his
building in which he opened his nhw
Furniture Store, he was forced to in-
struct a number of manufacturers to
hold back shipment of goods ordered
and now has wired them to ship at
once. Mr Ortmeyer says he will carry
in stock Birds Eye Maple, Curly Birch,
Mahogany, Walnut, Golden Oak and

The Harmotiia Club was enter-
