Cantu Joins Counseling Staff
Hello every-
one! My name
is Adriana Can-
tu, and I’m a
new counselor
here in the SPC
Counseling De-
partment. I just
wanted to take this unique
opportunity to introduce my-
self! I’m originally from El
Paso, Texas, where I received
my Bachelor of Science in
Psychology from The Univer-
sity of Texas at El Paso. From
there I moved down to beau-
tiful San Antonio to pursue
graduate studies at Our Lady
of the Lake University, where
I earned my Master of Science
in Counseling Psychology. I
am currently a Licensed Pro-
fessional Counselor-Intern,
and am working on earning
my frill license. I love work-
ing with students, and doing
what I can to lend
a helping hand.
My experiences
have given me
the opportunity to
work with diverse
groups of people
in crisis; children,
adolescents, as well as adults.
Among other wonderful ex-
periences, I have spent time
with Baptist Child and Family
Services, the Rape Crisis Cen-
ter for Children and Adults, as
well as University of Texas
Health Science Center in a
research capacity. I love mu-
sic, and play the guitar in my
spare time. St. Philip’s has
been such a welcoming envi-
ronment; I wanted to let you
know how excited I am to join
the St. Philip’s College Com-
munity. Thank you, and I look
forward to meeting and work-
ing with you all!
