Report on acr age in Callahan and Taylor Counties
continued.
South of line dividing Section Eighteen and Ninteen (18 & 19)
another with its axis passing through Southwest quarter of Section
ten (10), another passing through Section Nine (9), Eight (8)
and Seven (7) and Fifty Six (56). Locations that would offer
the best chances for best production would be anywhere along
ridge East of tank. This ridge lies on division line of section
line between Section Eighteen (18) and Ninteen (19). Then most
anywhere in Southwest quarter of Section Ten (l0),-erhaps the
real best would be somewhere near t1je common corner of Section
ten (10) and eighteen (18) about 200 yards Northeast from
corner. Then anywhere on ridge running through Section Seven (7)
Eight (8) and Nine (9) the best place would seem to be about
one mile East of your ianch head quarters. However, most any
place from this point East is desirable.
It is conclusively proven that there are pay oil sands
in this section of the country. This sand extends over country
now under consideration. Oil cannot be found in a structure
unless the drill hits the sand, neither can it be found in aying
quantities in the sand if there is no structure. I wish to
emphasize the abo-e facts that great care will be used in the
1 cation of all wells.
The reasonable conclusion is that oil will be
developed on your property in commorcial quantities at depths
ranging from 1800 to 2000 feet.
There is a great advantage in the possession of this
splendid territory covered by your property, because of its
proximity to a railroad, its splendid wagon roads and because of
your ability of getting water storage in tan Ls at a very reasonable
vost. There are now two very good and lar=e tanks full of >water
to be found on your properties.
You, no doubt, mwill find quantities of gas which will
supply fuel for all operations necessary when oil is produced.
Respectfully submitted to K. K. Legett and K. B. Legett
