New York Sept 19 The startling
discovery lias been made that the
federal grand jury is busy at this time
investigating the affairs of the Gen-
eral Electric company and a half doz-
en other electric concerns with a
view of establishing the fact that they
are in an illegal trust It is declared
that if the evidence expected is found
that several of the leading electric fi-
nanciers will be indicted As a result
of the grand jury Investigation start-
ling disclosures are expected It is
said that the president ordered this
investigation in spite of vigorous oW
position fiom republican leaders and
advisors who believe that such a
move at this time will have a disas-
trous effect on the campaign How-
ever the president is said to be irri-
tated at the delays in other trust
prosecutions and insisted on pushing
the investigation against the electric

Dick age twentyfive years a student
in the Southwestern Normal was kill-
ed here this morning in a football
game It was during the first game
of the year at the Normal and Dick
engaged in a tussle and was struck
on the head He lived only twenty
minutes after the accident

from Fort Worth Charles M Harris
is to > be located at Fort Worth as city

Harris has been assistant to Milton
Morris in the Houston office for two
years Mr Morris will be given as-
sistance hero by Mr Sam Greenhill

tional until some one is named to

ment for a month or two as to Mr
