LETS GET TOGETHER
Palestine and the surrounding
country districts should be more
closely allied in a business and social
way The people should become bet-
ter acquainted We as business peo-
ple should Impress on the people in
this trade territory that we want
their trade and are prepared to give
them a square deal at all times and
sell them good goods at fair prices
It has occurred to the Heald that as-
a means of promoting a spirit of
good will and closer fellowship be-
tween the town and county people It
would be a good plan for the local
business people through the Board
of Trade or some other organization
to give a big picnic or barbecue in
the city or nearby and invite as their
guests the people of this and adja-
cent counties We believe the coun-
ty people would respond to such an
invitation gladly and thus bring all
together We need the cooperation
of the county people and the county
people need us and we can all do
better by getting closer together The
Herald merely makes this suggestion
for what it is worth
Go to the Board of Trade meeting
this evening Help to boost the
county and town
As a mere matter of information
we again remark that the sun is shin-
ing in Grand Old Texas And when
we say shining we mean shining
Every man who is interested in
seeing Palestine and Anderson coun-
ty grow and develop should be at the
Board of Trade rooms this evening
when this Important matter is to be
discussed Special attention is going
to be directed to locating new people
