Since finishing she has been em-
ployed in the local office of South-
western Bell Telephone Company.
The bridegroom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Jake Pounders. After*
finishing from Rockdale High
School in 1945 he entered the U. S.
Army where he remained for some
time, seeing service in Japan. He
is employed at the Fred Pounders
Service Station.
Mr. and Mrs. Pounders will con-
tinue to make their home in Rock-
dale.

seems to be pretty much of a dry
spell here and I guess if the good
Lord is willing we will have some
rain in the near future, at least
most of us hope so, I’m sure.
Jess Wilson, of Calallen visited
relatives here last week.
Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Truehart,
of San Antonio, and Mr. and Mrs.,
Jack Stiles, of Austin, visited Mrs.
Andrew Garner Sunday.
Miss Arnelle Shavers was home
over the week end visiting with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mose
Shavers.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Fulcher
were in Talacros Saturday visiting
Tofn Fulcher, who is ill.
