Final rites for Mrs W. J. Dre-
her, 87, were held Friday after-
noon from Philips and Luckey
chapel with the Rev. Roy Turner
ntfr'k-iating. Burial followed in
the family plot at Sharp ceme-
ieryy. Casket imcnuams were
Luther McDonald, E. H. Rinn, J.
B. Ross, E. H. Foster, Irvin Scott,
Edward Backhaus.
Mrs. Dreher died early Thurs-
day morning in Richards hospital
where she had been taken after
suffering a stroke earlier in the
week.
As Colly Mazek, she was born
in Europe on No. 25, 1866. Her
parents came to America when
she was throe months old and
located in old Washington coun-
ty, Texas. It was there and in
Milam county that she spent the
remainder of her life.
Colly Mazek was married to W.
I.T. Drrhcr In 188!*> and of the nine
^ children born to thorn seven sur-
vive. Her husband preceded her
in death in 1915.
Last November when Mrs. Dre-
her celebrated her 87th birthday
.•he was honored at a dinner and.
open house in the home of a
daughter, Mrs. Lillie Malky of
Somerville There were seventy
guests for the dinner. In the af-
ternoon dunng open house, Mrs.
Dreher took much delight in the
opening of her shower of gifts.

dale; Mrs. Oly Persky of Hearne;
Mrs. Susie I.angc of Sharp; Mrs.
Minnie Bryant of Wharton; Mrs.
Lillie Malky of Somerville; Mrs.
Irene Smith of Rockdale. Besides
her husband, a son, Frank Dreher,
and an inlnnt, William Dreher,
preceded her in death. There are
also 28 grandchildren, 45 great-
grandchildren, three great-great
grandchildren and two sisters.
