Whenever I have the time,
I beat up a whole box of whip- ;
pel topping mix (Looks like j
wii.pped cream, gals, but has j
less op lories Heloise*. and ;
drop blobs of it on « waxed j
paper-lined cookie sheet, and,
freeze the whole lot.
When solidly frozen. I r e- [
move and put them In a plas
tie. bag and return to the free*
The great thing about mak-
ing up the whole box at one
time 1* that when I am in a
hurry, these frozen dabs of
whipped topping can be remov-
ed (as many or as few as I
need), and placed on top of
gelatin desserts, puddings, ice
cream sundaes, pound cake or
canned fruits. I even use them
on hot apple or cherry pics
By making up the whole box
at once, I have only one bow l
to wash, and they are a’ways
ready whever I reed them.
Some people have trouble
pressing pleated skirts.
I put a skirt or dress on the
Ironing board, then take three
atralgnt pins and pin three
pleats onto the ironing board,
and then press 'em.
It sure saves a lot of time
How can I keep my alumi-
num pans bright? My mother-
in-law Is coming to visit u s
For a quickie job, T suggest
that you fill your largest alu-
minum pan about two-thirds
with water, and add a heaping
tablespoon of cream of tartar.
Put this - on the stove, and
bring the water to a boil. But.
don’t waste all that good mix-
ture on just one pan. Put some
smaller ones into this big pot
of good, bailing water, and let
tt boil for about 10 minutes or
After all the discoloration
Is gone, remove the pans, and
soour them with soap-filled pads
which will remove all the-white
film, and the pans will be shiny j
and like new again
And. while you are at it j
(since your mother-in-law is i
coming), take that aluminum |
measuring cup and spoons, and ,
any other little tidbits J o u j
can find, and put them into that ;
same boiling water. 1
