THE LIFE OF JESUS IN PARALLEL AND SIMILIAPITY TO ISRAEL'S SUFFERING
Isiah, 53rd Chapter
"How can you doubt your own prophets, who so perfectly portray
the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazereth, in the book of Isiah?"
This, I asked a Jewish lady.
She said, "That is a description of National Israel, portrayed
as a man afflicted." And continued, "Similiarities, visions
and dreams were portrayed by all prophets, picturing Israel in
many ways."
"Yes, that is true," I answered, "but they also -ortrayed one
who was to be the redeemer and messiah. " Isiah 53, is a po r-
trait of the Messiah's life, suffering, affliction and death;
By his being the Pascal Lamb offered for Israel's sins. It
was his blood, and not the blood of bulls and rams that clean-
sed Israel of her transgressions and iniouities.
The Lord said, "I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have
multiplied visions, and used similitudes by the ministry of
the prophets.
