2 relating to certain health-related and other task forces and
3 advisory committees.
4 BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
5 ARTICLE 1. CHANGES TO ENTITIES EFFECTIVE SEPTEMBER 1, 2015
6 SECTION 1.01. (a) The Interagency Task Force on Electronic
7 Benefits Transfers is abolished.
8 (b) Section 531.045, Government Code, as amended by S.B.
9 219, Acts of the 84th Legislature, Regular Session, 2015, is
10 repealed.
11 SECTION 1.02. (a) The Medicaid and Public Assistance Fraud
12 Oversight Task Force is abolished.
13 (b) Section 22.028(c), Human Resources Code, as amended by
14 S.B. 219, Acts of the 84th Legislature, Regular Session, 2015, is
15 amended to read as follows:
16 (c) No later than the first day of each month, the
17 commission shall send the comptroller a report listing the accounts
18 on which enforcement actions "or other steps were taken by the
19 commission in response to the records received from the EBT
20 operator under this section, and the action taken by the
21 commission. The comptroller shall promptly review the report and,
22 as appropriate, may solicit the advice of the office of the
23 inspector general [Mfii---And Public Assistance Fraud Qcr-st
24 Tacrk-Fe--e] regarding the results of the commission's enforcement1
