Sagemont fire station receives
17 emergencies this week

The Sagemont Station of
the Houston Fire Depart-
ment responded to nine
ambulance calls and to
five pumper calls in the
period from Monday, Oct.
18, until Monday, Oct. 25.
In addition, three pumper
calls for which no action
was necessary were turned
in.
Firemen put out a car
fire at Hall at Kingspoint
Oct. 19. Arson is invest-
igating the fire, which
totally destroyed the car.
Also on Oct. 19, para-
medics responded to two
calls. An auto-pedestrian
accident in the 10600 block
of Sabo which gave minor
abrasions to a 7-year-old
female was a good intent
call. The girl was later
taken to Southeast Memor-
ial Hospital.
Paramedics received two
calls on Oct. 20. A sick
caller at Baybrook Mall
was transported by private
auto, and a shooting victim
in the 10800 block of

On Oct. 21, firemen put
out a grass fire in the 11800
block of Sagecliff. The
following day, firemen put
out a car fire in the 9100
block of Kingspoint. The
car was a total loss.
A 69-year-old male
stroke victim was trans-
ported from Beamer at
Fuqua to Clear Lake Hos-
pital on Oct. 23, and a 32-
year-old male victim of a
major accident at the Gulf
Freeway at Fuqua was
transported to Southeast,
suffering from blunt trau-
ma to the chest.
Also on Oct. 23, firemen
assisted Station 71 in put-
ting out a house fire in the
1900 block of Ramada. On
the following date, a call to
the 10600 block of Kirkhill
was a false alarm.
Paramedics responded
to three calls on Oct. 24. A
major accident victim at
the Gulf Freeway at Air-
port was transported by
private auto, and a call to a
major accident at the South
Belt at the Gulf Freeway
was a good intent call. A
25-year-old male suffering
lacerations from a major
accident at South Belt at
the Gulf Freeway required
first aid only.

day, Oct. 18, to Monday,
Oct. 25.
On Oct. 19, firemen
were called to a car fire at
Hall at Kingspoint which
was extinguished by Hous-
ton’s Station 70.
On Oct. 22, firemen
were called to a gas well
leak at F.M. 2351 at Beam-
er, but the Forest Bend
department took over.
Firemen were called to a
fire at Telephone Road at
Hall, Oct. 24, but they, in
turn, called Houston’s
Station 70 (Sagemont)
because it was in the city.
On the same date, emer-
gency medical technicians
transported an injured
15-year-old female from
the 9000 block of Kirkmont
to Southeast Memorial
Hospital.
On Oct. 25, EMTs trans-
ported a 68-year-old pos-
sible cardiac patient from
the 10000 block of Sage-
meadow to Methodist
Hospital.
