Phil Hay* Visits
In-Law*, Friends
Phil Hays of Albuquerque, N.
M., dropped by Tuesday to en-
list as a reader of The News
in order to “get news first
hand” and to report on the
condition of his brother-in-law,
Pedy Peirce, former Archer-
ite who has been seriously ill
the past several weeks.
Now making his home with a
sister, Hazel Clark north of Joy
in Clay County, Pedy is now
there, though he was hospital-
ized a few days last week in
Clay County Memorial Hospital
in Henrietta, Phil said. Prior
to that, Peirce had been hospi-
talized several weeks in Wichita
Falls.
Hays and wife, the former
Betty Peirce, come to this area
rather frequently to visit Pedy
and Hazel, he said. Both are
former Archer City residents,
having graduated from high
school here and resided here a
while during their early mar-
riage. He visited also with
friends including Royal (Bingo)
Kinder, and wife on their ranch
east of town.
Phil also reported that other
former Archerites.SamandTot

has been transferred as insur-
