Choir Harvest
Time Begins At
First Baptist
Choir Harvest time began Wed-
nesday night at the First Bap-
tist Church of Archer City, with
Jimmy Tidwell, music and youth
director, leading the program.
A hamburger supper at 6:30
for all old and new choir mem-
bers preceded the choir practice.
Tidwell emphasized that music
must be taught to a youngster
during the early years, in order
for him to reach his full capacity
for music appreciation. The age
of four or older is the best time
for beginning a musical educa-
tion, according to the music di-
rector.
The several choirs of the First
Baptist Church have a place for
all ages with Directors Carl
Beall, Larry Blassingame, Pat
Hillard, and Henry Herod, assist-
ing Tidwell.
