Where were most of the Senioi
girls Friday night? Teddy’s car
seemed to be quite a necessity tha.
night, huh Jill and Francis?
It seems as though Mr. Chachert
doesn’t appreciate dogs. Or is it
dog lovers?
Jill and Mary went to Austin
Saturday. Wonder what interests
they have there!
What were Jack and Terry doing
Saturday night? It was exciting,
but we bet they won’t tell.
An interesting person is Mary
Francis Barrett. Francis was born
on September 25, 1943 in Beau-
mont, Texas. She likes fried chick-
en, skiing, horseback riding, dogs,
the color blue, Mexican food, red
cars, black horses, white dresses,
and the song “Sleep Walk”. She.
dislikes waiting, avocados, the color
green, studying, dirty socks and
conceited boys. Francis was cheer-
leader her freshman year, played
basketball her freshman and sopho-
more year, played powder-puff foot-
ball for four years, has been in
F.H.A. for three years and was the
1960 F.H.A. Christmas angel. This
year she is F.H.A. reporter. She
is a member of the Baptist Church
and has taught Bible school for
two years. When she graduates
she plans to attend Lamar Tech
and study X-ray technology.
Here are the responses of stu-
dents who are faced with a new
and strange word, SYCOPHANT!
Linda Erekson, “A school teach-
er”.
W. L. Hamlin, “A Wino”.
Pat Phillips, “A nutty tramp”.
Janice Oglesby, “Something I
hope I never see!”
Carla Barrett, “A girl”.
Jill Richards, “A box of Klee-
nex”.
Susan Sanford, “A wild creat-
ure”.
Gene Cooper, “Sounds like Mr.
Clark”.
Aurora Gonzales, “A person who
likes exams”.
Judy Lothridge, "Imagination”.
Emily Weakley, “A red-head-
ed person”.
For the information of all these
people and everyone else, a syco-
phant is a self-seeking flatterer!
The Sharks play in the Ganado
tournament this Friday. Let’s sup-
port our team.
