Miss Lockhart was graduated

been employed with the tele-

Mr. Kinerd was graduated
from Divide high school in
19-11 at mid-term. He was em-
ployed with C. A. Mathews prior
to entering the Navy in DM2. As
a eoxswalm, he served 38
months overseas, mostly in the
Aleutians, lie received his dis
charge Friday in California and
arrived in Sweetwater Sunday.
Home For 30 Days
Sgt. Vick Thompson, son of
Mr and Mrs W. II. Thompson,
who spent six months in Italy in
the Army Air Force, is home for

He returned to the states in
July and lias been stationed at
Shaw Field, Sumter. S. (’., where

Truman Will Spend
Christmas At Home
WASHINGTON (HP) — Pre-
sident Truman is going home for
Christmas.
Mrs. Truman and daughter
Margaret will leave Washington
about December 181 h for their
home at Independence, Mo.
The president will fly to Inde-
pendence for Christinas dinner,
taking off from Washington on
Christmas morning.
Mr. Truman will be in Wash-
ington Christmas eve for the tra-
ditional Christmas tree-lighting
ceremony and will broadcast a
Christmas message to the nn-
