to war conditions and the
lateness in getting started in
this county on plans, no
special event has been plan-
ned, although the local cam-
paign will tie In with activi-
ties in Texas counties. Mr.
Cook, local theater man, has
contacted all theatre man-
agers and owners in the
county, and states that they
have agreed to give full co-
operation, just as theaters
all over the nation did last
year, when the theaters col-
lected contributions for the
March of Dimes. “In San
Patricio County,” Mr, Cook
said, “we are going to make
a strong effort to beat the
record set by theaters last
year, which, however, was a
good one. the total collec-
tions averaging 54 cents for
every theater seat in the
United States.”
In asking the public to
contribute liberaly to the
! fund this year, Mr. Cook
