Text: "Know all men by these Present that I David Barber of Windsor in Hartford County and Colony of Connecticut Administrator of the Estate of Josiah Filly of Windsor for and in Consideration of the Sum of Forty Pounds Lawfull money Paid to my full satisfaction do give Grant Bargin and sell unto John Griswold of Windsor in said County and Colony afore said to him and to his Heirs for ever a Certain Negro man Named Boston whom I Promis to warrant and Defend from all the Lawfull Claims and Demands of all Persons whatsoever as Witness my hand this 16th Day of December AD 1772. David Barber. Hezekiah Chaffee."
