Archer City Country Club.
Winners included Dr.
Henry Prettyman and Jess
Fowler of Wichita Falls,
Lucille Mitchell and Lois De
Moss of Archer City, and
Maime Tillman and Mozelle
Owens of Olney.

Center Luncheon
Twenty-nine guests were
present at the covered dish
luncheon Friday at the
Archer Service Center of
Community Corporation in
Archer City.
Seven "meals on wheels”
were delivered to shut-ins in
the area.
Gloria Klaras, Center co-
ordinator, stated response to
the Friday’s social event has
Y, been much Improved since
the Center re-located to the
old post office building.
Persons are also taking
advantage of the added
space for other social
activities.
She reminded county resi-
dents that the social security
representative now has his
office at the Center when he
visits the county. The food
stamp representative is also
at the Center every Wednes-
day from 9 a.m. until noon.
Last Tuesday the blood
pressure monitoring clinic
was held at the Center and
35 persons participated.
Mrs. Klaras encourages all
county citizens to make use
of the Center whenever
possible, as it is there for
their benefit.

ation meeting has been
re-scheduled for 7 p.m.
Monday at Archer City
Country Club.
The meeting had been
planned earlier, but was
canceled due to hazardous
road conditions.

ball game of the Harlem
Globetrotters at D.L. Legion
Coliseum, Midwestern State
University, last Friday, at
7:30 p.m. The proceeds of
the game went to the Rotary
Club charities.

Funeral services for Ernest
Harley Young, 55, of Archer
City, were held at 2 p.m.
Tuesday in the Lunn Funeral
Home Chapel in Olney.
Rev. John H. Jones, pastor
of the Dundee Baptist
Church officiated. Burial
was in Restland Cemetery,
Olney.
Young died Sunday at his
home. He was born Sept. 21,
1921 In Pollard, Okla. and
had lived In Archer County
52 years.
The farm and ranch worker
was a veteran of the Army
Air Force having served in
World War II from 1943-’46.
Survivors include his moth-
er, Mrs. E.T. Young of
Archer City; one sister, Mrs.
Jack Durham of Fort Worth;

talent).
OUR UTILE MISS - Ages 7 thru 12 - competes in party dress, sportswear (Pants,
shorts, casualwear, but no swimsuits), and 3 minute talent.
AWARDS - Local winners (Both divisions) will receive official, “Our Little Miss”
trophy statuettes, certificates, crowns, banners, and entry fee to state pageant.
First and second runner-up and tallent winner - trophy statuette and certificate.
TALENT WINNER - Selected from 7 thru 12 age group, talent, which ia only
one-third, can be anything that shows a girl’s poise before an audience and may
include pantomime, humorous skits, poetry or dramatics, singing, dancing,
musical instruments, baton twirling, etc. (Talent winners, if invited, may attend
state pageant at own expense).
INTERNATIONAL PAGEANT - Both winners of the "World's Our Little Miss
Pageant” will receive cash college scholarships (Little Miss - $1,000 and Miss La
Petite - $500), wardrobes and national publicity.
THE WORLD’S Our Little Miss Pageants are designed to give recognition to
beautiful and talented children. They provide a next level of competition culmina-
ting at a fabulous international staging. There is no other children's beauty
pageant system in all the world that is offering so much to make its preliminaries
the ultimate in beauty pageant extravaganzas. It has opened the door to a rightful
