Help The Firemen
To Have A
Happy New Year
Help the West Fire Dept, have
a Happy New Year this year by
using care with fire around the
house.
The chief and his men, like
everyone else, would prefer to
have a quiet New Year’s Day
dinner with their families.
You can make firemen happy
by being careful to avoid fire
this holiday season.
Folks are reminded to be ex-
tra cautious this year when
within range of dry grass and
weeds. The slightest spark from
a cigarette, match, fire cracker,
trash or bon fire could result in
disaster for you or your neigh-
bor. Even the spark from an
electric fence or “hot shot’’ wire
can start grass fires.
By being careful and avoid-
ing fires, you can have a Happy
New Year yourself without the
prospect of a rebuilding bill In
January.
If the entire annual crop of
the U.S. was divided evenly,
every man, woman and child in
our 50 states would receive
about 80 apples.
