mal. who made a splendid talk on
higher education, after which a din-
ner was spread to which all did

children rendered songs, dialogues,
speeches and drills, a few of which

girfs and 16 little boys, led by Lu-
cile Roberts. age 6, and Ernest

James H. Middleton was born in
Pennsylvania, Va.. F>b. 25, 1850,

not good for a year before his go-
ing away, Wt he wanted his children

His faith in God was pure and
simple, so much so that it was an
inspiration to those with whom he
came in contact. The day was nev-
er -so dark and gloomy that he did
