(Changed Business Conditions necessitate changed Business Policies. You are undoubtedly find-
ing it necessary to make readjustments in managing your business, just as we are finding it neces-
sary to make readjustments ourselves. A Cash business will help keep prices down, and will help
stabilize general business conditions. You can appreciate the value of this.
The Government, as a reconstruction measure, has recommended prompt payment in all
transactions.
The manufacturers and jobbers have placed the retailer on a Cash Basis which necessitates the
retailer doing likewise.
The retailer did not consider this action on the part of the jobber as a reflection upon his credit,
and we trust that you will view our action in the same light. Instead of criticising our action we
trust that you will co-operate with us, and we assure you this method will be to our mutual benefit?
for we must agree that if the world was on a Cash basis everyone would be benefited.
