The distribution wiil be made by blindfolded children, from two glass wheels,
the contents of which can be seen by all present. One wheel will contain 62$ gifts
•on printed slips, in circular tubes, and the other tags with numbers on them corres-
ponding to those on the 100,000 tickets. Th e contents of both wheels are thorough-
ly mixed by revolving. The child at the first wheel will take a number therefrom,
tuen the child at the second wheel will take a gilt therefrom, and the gift thus drawn
will belong to the number drawn immediately before it. Thus this process will con-
tinue until gifts and numbers are drawn. An official registry of the gifts, as drawn,
will be kept by two of the most accurate clerks that can be secured.

The Al<fine is an elegant miscellany ol
pure, ligj.it, and graceful literature; and
a collection, of pictures,, the rarest speci-
mens of artistic skill, in black and white.
Although each succeeding number atlbrds
a fresh pleasure to its friends, the real
value and’ beauty of the Airline will be
most appreciated after it is bound up at
the close of the year. The possessor of
a complete volume can not duplicate the
quantity of fine-paper and engravings in
anv other shape or number of volumes
for ten times its cost; and- then there is
the chromo, besides.
The artistic illustration of American
scenery, original, with the Aldine, is an
important feature,
The literature of the Airline is a light
and graceful accompaniment, worthy of
the artistic features.
