The Houston Telegraph comes to us
with a new head and also enlarged. The
evei lasting “Brady’s Glimpses of Texas,”
is omitted which is a relief. But that in-
fernal type from which the paper is printed,
and which was worn out before the war,
is still required to do duty.

The first number of the Real Estate
Bulletin, published by Ham St Latta, in
this city, is before us. It is a sixteen
column paper, spicy and brim full of news
and local items. We believe it is the in-
tention of the proprietors to issue weekly.
Mr. T. D. Morris has built a house on
Crawford street, just east of Neighbor's

day of Denison. Over fifty couple were
presentcomprising the beauty and gallant-
ry of the country round, not omitting
Sherman and our own beautiful city.
p " At an early hour the house and corridors
were crowded with happy guests, young
men and maidens whose eager eyes flashed
happiness.
“What deem’d they of the future or the
past?
The present, Ike a tyrant, held themi
fast.”
About twelve all were invited to the din-
ing room to partake of a sumptuous sup-
per, and it was a supper indeed, such as
would tempt a king. In variety of dishes
and choiceness of feast it really surpassed
anything that ever graced a Denison
table.
“Then all was jollity,
Feasting and mirth, light wantonness,
and laughter.”
After the feast came the dance, and to
the time of excellent music, merry feet
were busy until the eastern sun surprised
them in their revelry.
“And every heart
Beat faster than the merry tune;
Soft eyes were restless, and sweet lips
Parted with eager joy, and round cheeks
Flushed with the beautiful motion of
the dance.”
Thus passed off one of those pleasant
reunions that stamp themselves indelibly
upon the memory. We trust there may be
many more such, forlife is but a span and
why not be merry as we go ?

The agent of the Central road, whose
duty it is to receive freight from the M. K.
& T, Ry., and transfer it to his own road,
arrived in Denison late Friday evening,
and at once entered upon the duties of his
office. A large quantity of freight had
accumulated here in the warehouse.
Eight bulk cars were shipped down the
Central Friday night, three of these were
for Sherman and the balance for dif-
ferent points down the road. We
can now assure the business men
along the Central who have been greatly
embarrassed by the stubbornness of the
Central Railroad Company, in refusing
to carry forward their freights from Den-
ison, that a definite understanding be-
1 ween the two roads was arrived *t Fri-
day evening, and no further trouble of
that character need be apprehended.
