A Shocking Double Murder In
Andemon County.

dor just in from Ioni, Anderson
comity, brings nows of tlio murder
of Dr. R. P. Gray-sob and wife at
that place last night. Six or seven
men rode up to the Doctor's house
at night, and asked his wile tor the
Doctor, Sho told them wliore ho
was, and they said that one of their
wivos was sick and peeded a doctor.
When they mot the Doctor tiicy
commenced filing on him, shooting
him about forty times. After so do-
ing they rode back to bis house und
shot bis wife, who had retired,shoot-
ing her through the window with
shot-guns. The Doctor was a ptom-
inont man in Anderson county.
Our district court is still in ses-
sion. Only throo or four civil eases
have been disposed of this term.—
At this rate, unless we can gel a spe
cial session or two of the court, it
will take 90 years to get up with the
business.
