profit organization but there are

a stimulating experience to help
adults learn to lead recreation.

GRASS LEASE
Three year term grass lease
to be let by the Jack County
Commissioner’s Court on Coun-
ty Farm. 300 acres, more or
less, out of the Arthur Herring
Survey, Abst. No. 281, and the
G. D. Spotswood Survey, Ab-
stract No. 521, in Jack County,
Texas, being situated approxi-
mately six miles North of the
City of Jacksboro, and border-
ing Highway No. 158, land be-
ing better known as the Jack
County Farm.
Sealed bids will be accepted
in the County Auditor’s office
in Jacksboro, Texas, not later
than Saturday, the 27th day of
January, 1962. Any and all bids
may be rejected by the Com-

A total of twenty eight stu-
dents were listed on the Ante-
lope Elementary School honor
roll according to Raymond Eth-
eridge, superintendent. Students

Funeral services for William
Albert Brown were conducted
at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January
20, from the Joplin Baptist
Church with Rev. W. H. Mc-
Queary officiating. Burial was
in the Fairview Cemetery at
Joplin under the direction of
Hawkins Funeral Home.
Brown was bom in Marysville,
Tennessee, August 24, 1870. He
was married to Miss Mary
Amanda Farrell, June 30, 1901,
in Jack County. Mrs. Brown pre-
ceded him in death in 1941.
Brown passed away in a Weath-
erford hospital, January 18,
1962.
Survivors include two daugh-
ters, Mmes. Dessie Gladden of
Fort Worth and C. L. Thomp-
son of Okmulgee, Oklahoma.
Five sons, W. L. of Houston,
Lawson of Graham, C. L., L. H.
and J. L. of Fort Worth, one
sister, Mrs. Marvin Dyer of La-
mesa, and 14 grandchildren and
several great grandchildren.
C. R. Martin, Son-in-Law of
Middlebrooks, Buried in Euless
Funeral services for C. R. Mar-
tin, son-ini-law of Mr. and Mrs.
Columbus Middlebrooks, were
conducted January 22 at the
First Baptist Church in Euless.
He is survived by his wife, Max-
ine, two sons and a daughter of
Euless.
