To secure my indebtedness to Charles Schreiner, Commission Mer-
chant and Banker (unincorporated), of Kerrville, Kerr County, Texas, amounting to the sum of ($4OO6...      .......)

this day and by these presents, bargained, granted, sold, conveyed and mortgaged unto him, the said Charles Schreiner,
the following described property, to-wit:
My entire flock of goats, numbering Fifteen Hundred, Forty-six                                           (1546)

head, together with all their increase and ivool thereon from                                        season to
season.        Said sheep are branded C on jaw and V on rump xx vith red

cr op the right, some                   C     crop and under half crop the left and crop
and upper half crop the right and various other brands and marks;
it being intended that these marks and brands are to cover any other animals of the classes and kind above that are
owned by me now and that may hereafter be purchased or owned by me or brought on my ranch, whether said brands
and marks be placed thereon or not, which brands and marks I agree to keep upon said ..........S.he$-P...

I hereby bind myself, my heirs, executors and administrators to warrant and forever defend the right and title to said
property to said Charles Schreiner, his heirs, legal representatives and assigns against the lawful claim of any person
whomsoever.
It is further agreed that the sale, transfer, or removal by me from its present location, of the whole or any part of
the above described property at any time during the term and life of this mortgage, without the written consent of said
Charles Schreiner, shall, at the option of said Charles Schreiner mature all indebtedness herein and hereby secured,
existing and to accrue hereunder.
It is further understood that by the acceptance of this mortgage the said Charles Schreiner agrees to receive from
me at his warehouse in Kerrville, Texas, for storage and sale on commission my entire clip of wool and mohair for the
.       ...........................of 191...7., grown on the flock of sheep and goats herein mortgaged and all subsequent
clips of wool and mohair sheared from said sheep and goats until this mortgage is fully satisfied, using his best judg-
ment and discretion to sell or to ship or consign for sale the said wool and mohair, for which service the said Charles
Schreiner is to receive a commission of two and one-half per cent.
I agree to deliver to the said Charles Schreiner, at his warehouse in Kerrville, on or before the ...1.................. day

of 1917...., and further agree to deliver to the said Charles Schreiner at the same place regularly thereafter, until this
mortgage or lien is fully satisfied, each six months' clip of wool and mohair from said sheep and goats as the same is
sheared. Should I fail to deliver said wool and mohair at the times and place above specified I shall nevertheless be
liable to pay said Charles Schreiner the full commission of two and one-half per cent which shall become due and payable
whenever such default shall be made, and the same shall constitute and be a lien against the property herein mortgaged.
Now, if I pay or cause to be paid said indebtedness herein secured, now existing and that shall hereafter accrue
hereunder, at its maturity, then this obligation to be null and void, but should I make default in the payment of said
indebtedness or any part thereof, herein referred to and secured, now existing and that shall hereafter accrue hereunder,
at the maturity of the same, the said Charles Schreiner shall thereupon be fully empowered to sell the property herein
mortgaged for cash at public or private sale, on the premises where found, or before the court house door of Kerr County,
Texas, after giving ten days notice of sale by posting as required in sheriff's sale of personalty, and such sale, as to
any sheep, cattle, goats, horses or other live stock, may be made as the same run upon the range and without having the
same present at such sale, and the purchaser, in case he purchases less than the whole, shall have the right to select
from the entire lot mortgaged, the number purchased at such sale. After any such sale there shall be first paid out of
the proceeds of sale, all costs and expenses connected with such sale, and then the said Charles Schreiner shall be paid
the full amount of principal and interest due on such above mentioned and secured indebtedness now existing and that
shall hereafter accrue hereunder, and the overplus, if any, shall be paid to me, my heirs or assigns.
