sident of Coleman, died at 7 10
a m. .Friday. May 17, 19M3, in a
hospital at Bit; Spring, where h.
had lived since 1947 Funeral

Trinity Memorial Faik
Mr. Carter was born at Coman
ehe June 20. 1917. moved to Cole-
man in' 1927, and was married
here October 4. 1941 to Miss Mel-
ba Ruth Bullard He .was a mem-
ber of the Baptist Church, and
a veteran of World War II
Surviving relatives include 'his
wife. Mrs Melba Ruth Carter,
a son. Kenneth R. Carter; a dau
^hter, Linda J Carter: and his
'father, John Talbot Carter, all of
Big. Spring: four brothers. Leslie
Carter of California, Thomas
Carter of Coleman,' J D Carter
of Springfield, Oregon, and Don-
ald Carter of Big Spring, and a
1 sister. Mrs. Iris Lanharn of Abi
