Meet Tonight
A “Raggedy Ann or Raggedy
Andy" baby gift shower for
Mrs. Joe Pat Hemphill was held
Sunday afternoon, August 5, in
the Coleman Highrise Apart-
ment Clubroom.
Hostesses were Mmes. Beck
Knox, Don Wilkinson, John
Dale Lewis, Ted Taylor, Mike
Edington, Donnie Henderson,
Bob Tyson and Mike McCravey.
Special guests were the
honoree's mother, Mrs. James
Berry of College Station, and
her husband's mother and
grandmother, Mrs. Zeno Hemp
hill and Mrs: Press Morris of
Coleman. Corsages were done
in yellow, purple, blue and red.
The registry table held the
guest book and a musical
Raggedy Ann and Andy figu
rine. Wall and serving table
decorations were in the same
theme and vivid colors, with
the cake decorated as Raggedy
Ann, nuts, and red punch being
served.
Gifts were presented to Mrs.
Hemphill from a portable crib,
her gift from the hostesses.
Sentimental gifts from Mrs.
Zeno Hemphill wore pictures
and mementoes from Dr. Joe
Pat Hemphill's childhood.
Game prizes, including rag
dolls, were presented to several
of the 17 women present.

Park Sunday, August 12, 1973.
All friends and relatives, are

Squad w ill meet tonight (Tues-
day!'at Graves Gym, beginning
at 7 p.m.
Membership dues of $5 and
sweater expenses of $11.95 will
he collected from each girl.

Multi-Purpose Center Wednes
day, August 8, 1973, at 8:00
p.m.
SHOP IN COLEMAN
Some 16 young men of First
Baptist Royal Ambassador
Group and their counsellor,
Marvin Sapaugh, were at Heart
of Texas Baptist Encampment
Grounds at Lake Brownwood
last week to attend the 1973 RA
Camp.
There for the session were
about 300 boys and adult staff
and counsellors. Three of the
Coleman group, Darrell Phil
lips, Freddie Garner and Kevin
Cavanaugh, served as counsel-
lors. Three others were enroll
ed as Pioneers. These in this
age group were Jerry Barker,
Keith Cavanaugh, and Mark
Phillips.
The remaining ten boys were
Crusaders. In this section were
Roy Lee Adian, Stanley Adian,
Kevin Alewine, Mark Baird,
Greg Baucom, Kirk Cavanaugh,
Mike Johnson, Glenn Moore,
Morris Moore and Mike
Thomas.
This last group participated
in the Swimming Tournament,
winning 10 ribbons, topping all
other age groups in camp. The
younger boys also participated
in the tournaments for Crusad
ers, getting 2nd place in softball
behind San Angelo College
Hills Group, which gained first
place. These boys also won first
place in the basketball tour
nament, defeating San Angelo
Lakeview Baptist in the finals.
They defeated Mills County to
gain first place in the volleyball
tourney.
The Coleman Crusaders also
scored perfect marks in cabin
inspection each day.
•Missionary speaker for the
occasion was the Rev. Leon
Adudell; Camp pastor was the
Rev. Stanley Wilson; and
Camp director was Dennis
SYMPATHY AND TIGER were named Most Playful
Cat and the Best Striped Cat, respectively, in the
Coleman Pet Show last week. Lori Alcala, 11,
daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Cecil Alcala, showed
Sympathy, and Missy Mullins, 11, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. James Mullins of Novice, exhibited Tiger.
Both won blue ribbons.
Harris. All of these live in
•Brow n wood.
On the final evening of the
camp t here were 42 professions
of faith, 12 rededications, and
two commitments for special
service.
Activities at the camp in
addition to those already
discussed were worship ser
vices, archery, canoeing, ri-
flerv, HR, hunter safety, skeet,
ping pong, fishing and camp
crafts.
16th ROW REUNION
AT PARK SUNDAY
The 16th annual Row reunion
will be held Sunday, August 12,
at the Coleman City Park, with
all relatives and friends invited,
