Miss Ellen Hurwitz
Mr. and Mrs. Hyman Hur-
witz, 808 Sceyne Street, Kil-
gore, have announced the en-
gagement of their daughter,
Miss Ellen Hurwitz to Morris
Bernard Penner, son of Mr.
and Mrs. Ben Penner, San An-
tonio.
The bride-elect graduated
high school from Stephens
College in Columbia, Mo., and
attended the University of Tex-
as where she was a member of
Sigma Delta Tau Sorority. Mr.
Penner attended the Univer-
sity of Texas where he was af-
filiated' with Sigma Alpha Mu
Fraternity and was graduated
from New York University,
New York City.
Miss Hurwitz is the grand-
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.
Engler of Fort Worth and Mr.
Morris Hurwitz of Dallas.
Wedding plans will be an-
nounced at a later date.
ed that their Mom and Dad,
Morty and Bernice Rapfogel
popped in for a visit from New
York. The Rapfogels drove in-
to our town with the Carl Sch-
oenfelds who just returned
from a fortnight in New York
City.
The special Chanukah Sur-
prise came when Judy and
Steve viewed their parents.
Aunt Ruth and Uncle Irv, who
knew what was going to hap-
pen all along, kept mum. In
fact, the children thought they
were going to see their par-
ents later next month in New
York. Which reminds us that
there must be Chanukah hap-
piness floating around town by
the score these days. Hope you
have the happiest of holidays.
