B’NAI B’RITH BRIEFS
By JOE DAICHES
“D DAY’’
August is usually a duil month
with little activity, but not so for
B’nai B'rith, especially the L. F.
Shanblum Lodge.
The week of Aug. 6, through the
13th, was declared as “get a new
member week.” and an intensive
membership campaign is still in
progress. Fort Worth has nearly
200 prospects ancf we feel we should
invite each and every one to be-
come a member of our lodge. Presi-
dent Willard Galzer appointed Leo
Lipshitz, Max Kaye, Joe Daiches

and himself, as a committee in
charge of this one-week campaign.
Ever day in August has been
designated as “D-Day” by the dis-
trict. What is “D-Day?” “D-Day”
is delinquent day to all members
who have not paid their dues this
year. They are especially requested
to send their dues to Leo Lipshitz,
membership retention chairman.
DANCE
Sunday, Aug. 27 Keystone Room
of the Hotel Texas will herald an-
other triumph' for the L. F. Shan-
blum Lodge when the Dance of the
Month will be held. If you were
at the last dance, no more can be
said, for it was truly a huge success,
however, if you missed it, ask a
fellow Ben Brith and rest assured
another outstanding evening with
good music and entertainment is in
