Landfill to
Close luly 29
The Rains County Landfill
will be open Wed. thru Sat.
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 through July
29th, at which time it will
close.
Rains County residents out-
side the city limits of Emory.
Point and East Tawakoni can
carry their trash to the Malloy
Landfill in Commerce or the
Compaction Station in Sulphur
Springs (where a fee is charg-
ed) until the Rains County
Commissioners’ Court decides
what they will do about this
issue.
I stated in my report on the
city council meeting in last
week's Leader that the landfill
would close Sept. 30th. 1989.
which was the last date told to
me by an official. It will, in
fact, close much earlier than
that: July 29th.

25-year reunion on Saturday,
July 29, at Greene's Lake.
The gates will open at 2:00
p.m. for anyone who wishes to
come early to visit or swim.
A barbecue dinner will be

cost of $5.00 per person.
