Methodist Society-
Honors Husbands
t Xmas Party
Members of Circle No. 2 of the
"Women's Missionary Society of
"the Methodist church entertain-
ed "with a covered dish supper
at the church Monday night
Naming- their husbands as honor
guests.
Red roses in crystal bowls
were placed at intervals on the
long linen covered table. Red
tapers in crystal holders gave
the hcrht to the table.
Mrs. R. C. Ford circle chair-
man welcomed the guests and
Mrs. R. E. Hudspeth acted as
leader for the short program.
Mrs. H. W. Schwertner read the
jscripture and Rev. W. A. Flynn
offered prayer. Mrs. F. L. Webb
acted as pianist when the group
sang Christmas' Carols led by
PI. Tegge.
Mrs. C. E. Limmer and Mrs
Chas. Oldham directed the
games during the social hour.

Two Hundred Attend
Home Coming Banquet
Some two hundred friends
gathered at the C. C C. Camp
dining hall Friday night for a
home-coming banquet honoring
Logan Ware Bartlett's contri
bution to Southwest Conference
football. Also an honor guest
for the occasion was Miss Elsie
Crabtree of Reno Nevada.
Tribute was paid to the guests
in the address of the evening
by A. L. Bentley superintendent
of Bartlett schools. James L.
Bailey president of the Cham
ber of Commerce acted as mas
ter of ceremonies and Mayor
R. W. Miller made the address
of welcome.
Logan made a short address
as did his grandfather R. B.
Ramsey. The toastmaster pre-
sented Miss Crabtree Mr. and
IMrs. Ellis Ware and Miss Sue
Ross of Ft. Worth.
Amigas Class Has
Christmas Party
Friday Night
of the
Baptist
Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Roberts
of Austin spent last week-end
here with Mr. and Mrs. S. L.
Roberts.
Associate members
Amigas Class of the
church were hosts to the class at
its annual Christmas party Fri
day night at the home of Mrs. B.
Y. Daniel. (Mrs. Doyle McMillan
greeted the guests at the door
The conventional Christmas
tree sprays of cedar and Christ-
mas lights decorated the living
room of the home. The tree
held gifts which were distribu
ted upon the arrival of Santa
Claus to the thirty-three guests
present.
Stars twinkled in the sky
blue ceiling of the dining room
which joins the reception room
and a huge star appeared as the
story of Jesus' birth was told
and acted out in pantomime.
IMrs. D. T. Boyd directed the
program.
Miss Pearl Joiner and Mrs.
George Cagle presided in the
dining room when supper was
served buffet style.
