He have had a hot dry
week. Everywhere out
here is dusty and we
need a little rain. The
garden is needing rain,
it looks pretty wilted
irr the afternoons.
we had a good crowd in
church again with two
good lessons. Bro. Wil-
ey's daughter and hus-
band came to church
Sunday evening with
them. They were here
from San Antonio.
Mrs. Susie Hendricks
was still not with us,
as last week she had
gone to her family re-
union and this week
she's spending with her
grandson Danny Pate and
family in Holly Springs
Caowiunity at Appleby.
BArbara Hughes has gone
back to spend some time
with her father, who's
in the hospital, not
doing very qood. Tom is
here working on my air
conditioner, which we
need.
Dollie Clifton Bray's
family had a get toge-
ther at Charles Bray's
this weekend. Wayne,
Debbie, Brandon, Lynn,
Dena from Bay City.Mel-
verine, Clifford Myers
and grandson Michael
from Fort Hood, Denise,
John, Lara Hensley from
Houston, Dollie Bray,
Lisa,Tee and J.R. Lakey
from Port Neches,Richie
Clifton, Ruth ’Grant
Mena, Ruby Smith from
Arcadia, Bessie Oliver
from Timpson, Lee,
Sandie, Misty from Ned-
erland, Charles,Johnie,
Wayne and J.B. from
Arcadia. Kevin Brake
is here with them for
awhile from New Mexico,
they reported an enjoy-
able time. Everyone
brought tents, so it
looked like tent city
over there.
Sonny Jones was in from
Texas City checking on
his place.
Noreen and Joe Parker
had some of their,
children in. Their
daughter and family and
a grandson from South
Carolina who just grad-
uated from high school.
They were visiting
their grandfather .ewel
Jones and Ruby Smith.
Ruby was showing them
all her farm animals.
On May 15, Iva Low-
rance, Sophia Lowrance
Hancock and Jim Hancock
of Uvalde and Grace
Lowrance Pickens of
Mirando City left Timp-
son for TpsilantI, Mi-
chigan to visit Joy
Lowrance Fugate and her
husband Harold Fugate
and their families.
After visiting with Joy
and Harold and a trip
to Frenkenmth for one
of their world famous
chicken dinners and
Brenner’s Christmas
store (a must), Sophia
and Jim took an auto
tour to the East Coast,
their trip included
Niagara Falls, Toronto,
Montreal,New-York City,
Boston and many other
places.
The Texas group re-
turned to Timpson on
May 28 with many pic-
tures and many more
pleasant memories.

Birthday Party
On May 29th at 3 p.m.
Zoie Elizabeth Whitton
was honored with a
birthday party at the
home of her babysitter,
Mrs. Sue Castleberry.
She was 4 years old.
Zoie's mother, Mrs. kay
Whitton brought Cab-
bage Patch decorations
and party favors for
the celebration. Her
birthday cake was a
Strawberry Shortcake
decorated by Zoie s
Aunt Annette Bradshaw.
Those attending were

Starkey, Kyle Allen,
Kirk Castleberry, Sue
Castleberry, Aunt Joyce
Whitton, her big bro-

and ner mother. A spec-
ial guest was the young

Those who were unable
to attend, but who sent
