'the Marine Corps. He was 21
years of age and enlisted in bhe
Marines Sept. 27 1942. After 3
months basic training Privato
Via was sent over seas.
Corporal Via third son of IMr.
and Mrs. Via is now stationed
with the Tank Corps in Niash
ville Tenn. for advanced train-
ing. He has been in tho army
since Jan. 25 1943. After spend
ing one month in basic training
at Fort Sill he was transferred
to Camp Campbell Ky.
The Via. boys are grandsons
of Mr. and Mrs Jim Via who
resided in this country some 25
years ago and are the great nep-
hews of W. T. Via. Albhough
