New dermatologist in town
Phil Banker
phil@ennisdailynews.com
A dermatologist with
deep connections to
Ennis recently joined
the city's growing med-
ical community.
Dr. Lance Davis
opened his Ennis office
on April 1, and is cur-
rently seeing patients in
town on Mondays and
Wednesdays.
Davis, who also has a
practice in Dallas, grad-
uated from the Univer-
sity of Texas in Austin
before studying at the
UT Southwestern Med-
ical School. After com-
pleting his medical
education, he trained in
internal medicine at
Presbyterian Hospital
in Dallas before com-
pleting a dermatological
residency at Scott and
White Hospital in Tem-
ple.
Davis said his roots
in the Ennis community
run deep, as both his
parents and grandpar-
ents grew up in Ennis
and graduated from
Ennis High School.
“I have a strong fam-
ily history in this area,”
Davis said. “I'm trying
to grow my practice and
be invested in this com-
munity.”
Davis offers services
ranging from medical
skin care, cosmetic pro-
cedures, as well as sur-
gical skin care and skin
cancer care.
“I really enjoy all as-
pects of dermatology,
including medical, sur-
gical and cosmetic,” he
said. “I get an opportu-
nity to do a lot of skin

plastic surgery, and just
enjoying getting to see
such a diverse group of
patients including new-
borns to patients in the
100s. So I need a diverse
skill set to take care of
those patients.”
Davis said he's enjoy-
ing both investing in the
community as well as
joining the Ennis med-
ical community, one he
said is more tight-knit
than those in larger
cities.
“I enjoy getting to
know everyone in
town,” he said. They’ve
really helped me out a
lot.”

to see more patients in
town, and help Ennis

town.
“Give us a chance,”
he said.

paying attention to fi-

We’re a very diversified

allow people to stay
