Pat Malone takes it off to begin another day on the courts
and the other tennis team members prepare for the Distrl
tournament April 26-27. Due to their blinding speed on]
courts the photographer was unable to capture the other
members and coach Ed Olson. They include Kevin Tee, Rc
Drechsel, Mike Bien, Bobby Helton, Rich Pollins, Greg Garj
and Bob Matzke. The netmen have a revised schedule out
three home dates next week as they face Southwest Texas
on Monday at 2:00 p.m., Northeast Louisiana State, Tuesdaj
2:30 p.m. and they have a Saturday match with Gustavus ,
phus at 10:00 a.m. The team will face TCU on their courts
24 then leave for the district match at Texas Southern. The h<
matches will be played on our home courts and everyone is]
couraged to support the team.

Coach O. D. Bounds and his golf team members l-r,
Ken Cornelious, Barry Smith, Scott Allen, Bill Har-
ris, Randy Kirschner, Charles Alexander, and Eddie
Horn are going full swing for the upcoming dis-
trict tournament. Not pictured because they were
out practicing are team members Bart Haltom, Paul
Leonard, David Yandell, and Don Schilder. After
returning from a third place finish in the Oklahoma
Intercollegiate tourney during which Kirschner aced
a seven-iron for a hole-in-one, the team has only
the Abilene Intercollegiate before the District 8
tournament in Houston April 26-27.

Ram baseball team. He recently lost not only his shirt but alsd
his position as Steve Atwbod jumped to the lead of hitters on
the team with his .444 average. With a 20-5 record coach Larry
Smith's team is roaring on toward the District 8 playoff in May
despite 10 games being rained out. They tangle with Bishop
College Saturday during the day then take the field against]
University of Dallas in a night game on our home field. Monday
April 16 and Thursday, April 19 the Rams have twinbills againstj
Carthage College on their home field at 1:00.
