Travis Barker came over from
Fort Worth Sunday night to spend
a day or two with his family. He
is railroading out of Fort Worth.
Miss Joyce Thompson, daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Thompson,
was reported ill of influenza Mon-
day.
A son was born to Mr. and Mrs.
Carl T. Jones Saturday in the
Lone Star community north of
Weston.
Mrs. H. H. Hudson of Teague
was a guest of her sister, Mrs. Joe
Mann, and Mr. Mann, from Satur-
day night to Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. E. F- Campbell
and Mr. and Mrs. Ab Greer of
Morgan, Texas, were Sunday
guests of Mr. and Mrs. G. V. Bray,
and daughter. Mrs. J. W. Sprinkle.
Sunday guests in the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Thompson of
the Marilee community were Mr.
and Mrs. John Newell.
A. L. Hays, member of the Na-
vy, arrived here Wednesday night
and spent a few days with his par-
ents, Mr. and Mrs. 0. D. Hays. He
received a leave to attend the fu-
neral of a relative, Jack Smiley,
but arrived too late for the funer-
al. However, he decided to use the
leave and was here from Wednes-
day of last week to Monday of this
week.

Knight and son of Garland and
Miss Elizabeth McKnight of Dal-
las, spent Sunday with Mr. and

Audie Forbis and family have
moved from the Skaggs communi-
ty to a farm near Amarillo, and
asks that the Record follow him
to his new home.
