Miss Louise Davidson spent last
week-end as a guest in the home
of her sister, Mrs. Hugh Marshall,
at Argyle.
Mrs. Joe Mann, manager of the
Southwestern Bell Telephone Co.
in Celina, went to Teague, Texas,
Monday to visit her sister. Mrs. H.
H. Hudson.
Postmaster Volney Phillips and
Mrs. Phillips returned to Celina
Sunday after spending a week on
vacation. They visited Oklahoma
City, Amarillo, Hereford and oth-
er places.
Mrs. C. S. Nelson, Mrs. W. S.
Hunter, Taylor Nelson and Charles
Lee Nelson went to Lake Texoma
Monday to spend two or three
days fishing.
Mrs. F. M. Fielder and her baby
daughter, born in a Denton hospit-
al, were brought to their home in
the Alla community Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. F. Sprinkle and
daughter, Mrs. Outlaw, of Fort
Worth visited Mrs. J. W. Sprinkle
in the G. V. Bray home Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Johnson and
their two sons, Charles and Jim-
my, departed Saturday afternoon
to be absent a week or ten days
on vacation.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bilder-
back and Mrs. Jack Bilderback
and children of Weston and Miss
Nellie Bilderback of Grand Prai-
rie spent Saturday with Mr. and
Mrs. J. D. Maues.
Mrs. J. D. Manes, Mr. and Mrs.
John Frail- and Mr. and Mrs. W.
Carter attended the funeral of
Lyle Rapei at McKinney Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Pete McKnight
and daughter Mary Ann, and Mrs.
H. C. Uthoff and daughter Patti,
returned Wednesday from a four-
day outing. The principal point of
interest visited was Carlsbad cav-
ern.
Mr. arid Mrs. T. H. Cupp and
Mrs. Paul Snider drove to Blair,
Okla., recently. While there Mr.
and Mrs. Cupp attended the Cupp
family reunion at Lugert park.
All of the sisters and brothers
with one exception were present.
Mrs. Snider went on to Clinton,
Okla., to visit her husband, who is
in military camp there.

in the home of Mrs. W. S. Hunter.

near Prosper, were Sunday guests
of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Stone, south

RALPH STELZER AT HOME
UNTIL SEPTEMBER 9
Ralph Stelzer, AOM 1/c, ar-
rived in Celina Thursday of last
week from Maryland and will vis-
it Mrs. Stelzer, who is making her
home with her mother, Mrs. Er-
nest Snodgrass, two miles south-
west of Celina. Mr. and Mrs. Stel-
zer have a new son, born last-
week in the McKinney hospital.
Stelzer served oversas for sv-
eral months, but for the last few
months has had duty in the Unit-
ed States. He is a son of Mr. and
Mrs. Fred Stelzer, who live three
miles east of Gunter. He was
reared in Celina.

Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Stone of this

Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Williams
and daughtei-, Miss Mary Virginia,
of Abilene, were here from Mon-
day to Wednesday. They visited
Mr. and Mrs. Lee Robinson of Ce-
lina and relatives at other nearby
points. Their son, Ennis Williams,
of Fort Worth, saw his parents
here.
