Trustees approved the Edna
ISD Band Five-year Instru-
ment Plan. Band Director
Josh Parti da has been directed
to develop a five-year plan for
the replacement of major
band instruments which the
district furnishes to students.
These are district-owned in-
struments and the cost of such
instruments to individual stu-
dents is prohibitive. The plan
calls for an expenditure of
$55,399. and will not be in-
cluded in the current year
budget.
“The total given to the band
the first year will be $50,000,”
Partida said. “The plan will
be reviewed annually to re-
flect the number of kids in
band as well as the change in
cost of specfic instruments.”
